Plan your next gathering at Burdell! We are excited to help you plan an experience in our lovely dining room with a menu planned specifically for your group.

Our Event Spaces feature a warm, intimate, and personal setting for brunch or dinner, designed to bring people together over good food and conversation. We offer both semi-private and private areas that capture the energy of the dining room while providing a special place just for you and your guests. Each space has its own unique character and layout, suited for gatherings of different sizes and occasions.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Nestled within the main dining room, our semi-private spaces offer the perfect balance of intimacy and connection. Guests can enjoy the warmth and lively energy of the space while dining in a thoughtfully defined area during our regular operating hours.

Our Nook offers a cozy setting that feels both nestled away and part of the restaurant’s vibrant, buzzing energy. Tucked into an alcove within our main dining room, the space seats 8-10 guests (maximum seating capacity is 12). This semi-private space is ideal for smaller, more casual gatherings.

Our Half Dining Room offers a warm, intimate setting that hums with the energy of our bustling dining room. This semi-private space comfortably seats 17-20 guests (maximum seating capacity is 22) and is ideal for a bigger group who wants to feel connected to the restaurant’s lively rhythm while enjoying the ease and focus of a dedicated area of their own.

Our Bar, with its distinctive mandarin and lime green wall tiles--along with vintage-inspired wood Formica tabletops--our bar area captures the spirit of yesteryear's old-school charm. This inviting corner of the restaurant is ideal for a standing reception of 12-16 guests, offering a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere that easily encourages conversation and connection. (Standing room only)

Our private event spaces reflect the warmth and character of our dining room while offering a sense of privacy for you and your guests. Lively yet intimate, each space evokes the feeling of gathering in a welcoming home: relaxed and filled with nostalgia-the kind of easy charm that feels familiar, centered around good food and drinks.

Situated just a few steps off the main dining room,
our Dinetteoffers a warm and inviting setting for 12-14 guests (seats a maximum of 16 guests). With a view into the kitchen, it’s perfect for those who enjoy experiencing the hum of service while enjoying a bit more privacy.

Tucked away upstairs, our Listening Room offers a cozy retreat for 8-10 guests (maximum seating is for 12 guests). It is a space that feels like stepping into another era: anchored by a beautifully restored late '60s stereo system (and its own private washroom), it’s the perfect setting for an intimate dinner, a relaxed celebration, a post board meeting shindig, or simply gathering with good tunes on vinyl and great company.

For larger celebrations with guests 25+ (maximum seated 48, 55 standing room), our space is available for a full restaurant buyoutThe space becomes entirely yours for the evening: play your own curated playlist through our vintage speakers while our kitchen team prepares a multi-course, family-style feast from a bespoke menu written and curated especially for your group. Enjoy the opportunity to collaborate with our sommelier for full access to our wine cellar, and fill the room with conversation, laughter, and the joy of entertaining--without any of the cleanup. It’s an ideal setting for milestone occasions, company dinners, or any gathering meant to feel personal, celebratory--with a little bit more privacy.

Every event with us begins with getting to know you and working together to create a dining experience that feels personal and thoughtfully tailored to your group. Because of this, our event menu planning process always begins with a conversation. We start with having you fill out a simple online form to learn more about your group's preferences, the occasion being celebrated, and any other special details you’d like us to consider. After filling out the form, our team will work with you to curate a personalized experience while thoughtfully considering each guest’s dietary restrictions, food allergies, and aversions. Just as with our standard à la carte and prix fixe offerings, sourcing is at the heart of everything we do. Each multi-course, family-style event menu is customized to highlight what’s in season in the Bay Area: from the ingredients we’ve gathered at the farmers’ market that week to the seafood, meat, and poultry sourced from the local fishmongers and ranchers we have cultivated a close working relationship over the years.​ Below is a sample menu to offer a glimpse into the kind of food we create for all private events. The items shown are examples meant to illustrate the range of offerings and price tier differences, rather than selections of actual dishes to choose from. Every event menu is uniquely curated by our kitchen team to reflect the best of what’s in season and to suit your group’s preferences and dietary needs.​

Our beverage program reflects the same seasonal, locally sourced-driven ethos as our food. We offer curated wine selections, along with a curated list of low-ABV cocktails and non-alcoholic beverage options, all inspired by what's available from the local farmers' markets. Our wine list features producers (many of them friends) from around the world who prioritize sustainable practices, avoid artificial manipulation, and let the grapes and terroir shine. You may preselect wines that perfectly complement your custom menu or enlist the help of our Sommelier, who can help you navigate our full cellar (if feeling a bit overwhelmed pairing wine with food).
